Blog 8 Renfield

Renfield is a very peculiar character in Bram Stoker's Dracula. He seems insane to many of the other characters in Dracula. Renfield keeps "pets" like insects and birds. Not that weird, right? Well, he likes to eat his pets. Especially flies. He had asked for a cat, but he was denied it after the doctors found out he ate his birds. Turns out, the reason for his craziness is because of Dracula. Dracula had fed on Renfield before and had been able to compel Renfield to do things for him.
