Laura was a victem of Carmilla from the novel Carmilla. Well, I guess you could say she was a partial victem. Laura didn't die like the other girls who were visited by Carmilla. A friend of Laura's family helped them figure out what and who she was before it could go that far. Their friend understood what was going on with Laura because it happened to his own daughter who, unfortunately, passed due to the interactions with Carmilla.
